Licensed before that date, you must complete the ethics requirement by 29 April 2026 or by the end of your current licence period, whichever is later. Licensed on or after that date, it must be done by the end of your first licence period. Adjuster licences are not subject to the updated requirements.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003eExam Rules — Read This One\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ePennsylvania is stricter than most states. CE exams are closed-book, and self-study or online exams \u003cstrong\u003emust be monitored by an unbiased third party\u003c\/strong\u003e. Family members, friends, supervisors and colleagues cannot act as monitor. The monitor must complete a Declaration of Compliance, and failure to submit it disqualifies your result. Pass mark is 70% with unlimited retakes.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003eAnnuity and Long-Term Care Training\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cul\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eAnnuities:\u003c\/strong\u003e a one-time 4-hour annuity best interest course is required before selling annuity products.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eLong-term care:\u003c\/strong\u003e a one-time 8-hour training course, then 4 hours of ongoing LTC CE every subsequent biennium.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eLTC Partnership:\u003c\/strong\u003e one hour of the initial 8-hour course must cover Medicaid information specific to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003c\/ul\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003eRenewal, Fees and Reporting\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eLicences expire on the last day of your birth month, biennially, based on your original licensing year. Renewal opens 60 days before expiry and the producer renewal fee is $55. Failure to renew results in suspension, though reinstatement within 12 months is possible with a late penalty.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eCredits must be reported within 10 days of completion, and the state applies a $5.00 per course reporting fee automatically. Keep your completion certificates for six years.
