Licensed before that date, both must be completed by 29 April 2026 or by the end of your current licence period, whichever is later. Licensed on or after, by the end of your first licence period.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eNote that adjuster licences are exempt from these updated requirements — the 24-hour adjuster course below stands on its own.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003eTwo Different Flood Courses — Check Which You Need\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe 2-hour Flood Course satisfies the new ongoing CE requirement for P\u0026amp;C producers. The 3-hour NFIP Review is the separate one-time certification needed before you can sell flood insurance at all, set by FEMA and the National Flood Insurance Program. They are not interchangeable, and an agent selling flood products may need both.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003eExam Rules — Read This One\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ePennsylvania is stricter than most states. CE exams are closed-book, and self-study or online exams \u003cstrong\u003emust be monitored by an unbiased third party\u003c\/strong\u003e. Family members, friends, supervisors and colleagues cannot act as monitor. The monitor must complete a Declaration of Compliance, and failure to submit it disqualifies your result. Pass mark is 70% with unlimited retakes.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003eRenewal, Fees and Reporting\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eLicences expire on the last day of your birth month, biennially, based on your original licensing year. Renewal opens 60 days before expiry; the producer fee is $55 and public adjusters pay $200. Failure to renew results in suspension, with reinstatement possible within 12 months plus a late penalty.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eCredits must be reported within 10 days of completion, and the state applies a $5.00 per course reporting fee automatically.
