CITB Site Environmental Awareness Training Scheme (SEATS) in Hull, East Yorkshire
This one-day CITB Site environmental awareness training scheme (SEATS) course is designed for those who have, or are about to acquire, supervisory responsibilities.
The SEATS course covers all relevant legislation and other aspects that affect the environment in the building, construction and civil engineering industries. Delivered as an interactive course with the aim of providing candidates with an introduction to environmental issues on construction sites and covers the environmental aspects of the new HS&E touch screen test.

What Can I Expect to Learn?
The Site Environmental Awareness Training Scheme course will bring the candidates environmental and sustainability knowledge up to date by giving a thorough overview of the subject, relevant legislation and industry best practice. It will enable them to identify, control and minimise the environmental impacts of their work and where possible identify environmental improvement opportunities.
What's Covered
At the start of each course, delegates will be provided with their own copy of the mandatory publication (Construction site safety – E : Environment (GE700E). The course is broken down into 9 learning areas:
- Sustainable construction and the environment
- Environmental management systems
- Archaeology and heritage
- Ecology and biodiversity
- Statutory nuisance
- Water management and pollution control
- Resource management
- Soil management and contamination control
- Waste and material management
Examination
Assessment will be by an end of course examination and the trainer review of the group and individual exercises. The delegate must pass the exam and pass both elements of the trainer review.
Certification
CITB certification for this course is valid for 5 years.
Prerequisites
The delegate must have a good knowledge of written and spoken English. Photographic ID and the delegates national insurance number must be provided on the first day of the course.
Additional Information
During your course, you will be asked to complete personal details which will be submitted to Awarding Bodies with your final results for certification. Personal details including CITB Registration number (where applicable), name, home address, date of birth, National Insurance number, telephone and email address.
2020 Training will not divulge personal details or learner data to third parties except to relevant statutory bodies – these are required for certification purposes only.

For accredited courses a certificate will be sent directly to you from the appropriate awarding body.
