What is the duration of the IOSH Managing Safely course online?
The IOSH Managing Safely course takes place across three days, culminating in an evaluation at the end via a multiple choice question paper and a hazard spotting exercise. There will be about 8-12 hours of study including informal discussions and interactive quizzes, with plenty of opportunity to ask questions and clarify anything you do not understand.
Once you have achieved this certificate, it is valid for life but there is the option of a IOSH Managing Safely Refresher course which you may want to consider to keep up with the latest legislation.

Are there any entry requirements for the IOSH Managing Safely course?
There are no entry requirement for the IOSH Managing Safety course, but it is recommended for and designed for those who are responsible for the safety and wellbeing of more than one person under their management so is ideal for anyone in a manager or supervisory role.
You do not need any prior health and safety knowledge or qualifications for this course. You will be supplied with all the information and knowledge you need over the three day course and will be recommended any other additional training if it is thought useful. You will leave feeling confident to provide risk management and spot hazards across the workplace.
For short courses a completion certificate is available at the end of the course. You can screenshot this or print it out to confirm completion of the training.
For accredited courses a certificate will be sent directly to you from the appropriate awarding body.
All you need to complete our e-learning courses is a computer, tablet or smartphone, an internet connection and Zoom.
To attend a remote online course delegates must have access to a computer, laptop, tablet or phone that uses a microphone and webcam.
