IOSH Managing Safely Delivered Online (Instructor-led)

Managing Safely is a qualification that has been created and quality assured by The Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH). It is a leading health and safety qualification that is highly respected worldwide.

This training scheme introduces managers to the numerous aspects of managing health and safety in the workplace by providing engaging, informative and up to date training and materials. The classroom course is taught over a 3 day period. It is a great option for those that like to work with peers to complete exercises and have discussions as part of their learning. Classroom courses provide an invaluable opportunity to ask questions to an expert tutor, with experience across a variety of health and safety fields.

The course is designed to provide a relevant and deep understanding of the various issues within managers’ responsibilities and explores the reasons why good health and safety practices are essential for success.

Who is the IOSH Managing Safely Course Designed For?

This is an excellent course for anyone in a management or supervisory or team leadership role. It is suitable for those that need the knowledge to manage safely, and the knowledge has been designed to apply to any sector and in any country around the world.

Completion of the Managing Safely certificate training course gives you a significant insight into the risk assessment skills required for management and supervisor positions.

The course is designed to provide the knowledge and tools that you will need in order to make health and safety an integral part of day-to-day business, by providing information on important aspects of health and safety such as identifying hazards in the workplace.

As you study for your internationally recognised, IOSH-approved qualification, you will learn how to conduct a risk assessment and the practical actions required to ensure health and wellbeing in the workplace.

Course Content

The course is split into 7 modules which are taught over 3 days:

Module 1 – Introducing managing safely
Module 2 – Assessing risks
Module 3 – Controlling risks
Module 4 – Understanding your responsibilities
Module 5 – Understanding hazards
Module 6 – Investigating incidents
Module 7 – Measuring performance

Assessment

There are two assessments for this qualification:

  1. Multiple choice question paper
    2. Risk assessment project
  2. An IOSH ‘Managing Safely’ certificate is awarded to all those who successfully complete both assessments.Certification

A certificate is provided to confirm your successful completion of the IOSH Managing Safely online course.

We have support access built into our learner platform, to allow you to contact our technical team or expert tutor depending on what you need.

Online Assessments

Where permitted by awarding and certificating bodies, we have included assessments within the learning platform. This means that selected qualifications from our range of IOSH e-learning, iAS, NEBOSH e-learning, and Approved Asbestos Awareness e-learning courses are able to be completed fully online.

Technical Support

Our technical support team are based in the UK and can be contacted via telephone and email during UK office hours for any issues or questions about our in-house developed software.

Tutor Support

Our NEBOSH and IOSH courses have expert tutor support available, should you have any issues developing your understanding of part of the course you are able to contact one of our tutors for assistance. Our tutors have been providing NEBOSH and IOSH training courses for over 28 years and are well equipped to help you if you get stuck at any point during your course.

Progress Tracking

All of our health and safety e-learning courses come with inbuilt progress tracking. For short courses like awareness courses, this may be in the form of a percentage bar that shows how far through the course you are, and for longer courses like NEBOSH certificates each unit will have its own progress bar. This allows you to see how much of the learning material you have covered, whether it’s for a 15 minute course, or a 110 hour course.

You will instantly receive a confirmation email with your order details and your course login details will follow within one business working day.

Please note that course bookings can not be processed outside of normal working hours, over weekends or on bank holidays and will be processed the next business working day.

Step 2

Once you have paid for your course(s), you will receive an email from our team advising how to begin your training.

Step 3

You will be provided with a username and password which will enable you to access the e-learning portal. Login to start your course, once you have completed and passed the course, you will be able to download and print your certificate straight away.
