What is Asbestos?

Asbestos is a construction material that was commonly used in domestic, commercial and industrial buildings built or refurbished prior to the year 2000. Any building that you work in may contain asbestos, and as such it is a good idea to know what asbestos is, what the risks associated with asbestos are, and how to avoid them.

Approved Asbestos Awareness Training

Our Asbestos Awareness online training course is nationally recognised approved, and you can rest assured that the information inside this course is suitable to give you an awareness level understanding of asbestos.

What's Included in the Asbestos Awareness Course?

Our approved Asbestos Awareness online course provides information on what asbestos is, where it is commonly found, and how to work safely to avoid exposure to Asbestos.

This online Asbestos Awareness course is not suitable if you intend to undertake work to remove asbestos from any given site.

Once your license has been purchased you will be emailed with your login details during UK office hours.

For short courses a completion certificate is available at the end of the course. You can screenshot this or print it out to confirm completion of the training.

For accredited courses a certificate will be sent directly to you from the appropriate awarding body.

Compatibility Considerations

The following platforms have not been tested and therefore cannot confirm full compatibility, but it is likely that with any modern browser they will work.

All of our e-learning courses are hosted on our learner platform.

Support

We have support access built into our learner platform, to allow you to contact our technical team or expert tutor depending on what you need.

Online Assessments

Where permitted by awarding and certificating bodies, we have included assessments within the learning platform. This means that selected qualifications from our range of IOSH e-learning, iAS, NEBOSH e-learning, and Approved Asbestos Awareness e-learning courses are able to be completed fully online.

Technical Support

Our technical support team are based in the UK and can be contacted via telephone and email during UK office hours for any issues or questions about our in-house developed software.

Tutor Support

Our NEBOSH and IOSH courses have expert tutor support available, should you have any issues developing your understanding of part of the course you are able to contact one of our tutors for assistance. Our tutors have been providing NEBOSH and IOSH training courses for over 28 years and are well equipped to help you if you get stuck at any point during your course.

Progress Tracking

All of our health and safety e-learning courses come with inbuilt progress tracking. For short courses like awareness courses, this may be in the form of a percentage bar that shows how far through the course you are, and for longer courses like NEBOSH certificates each unit will have its own progress bar. This allows you to see how much of the learning material you have covered, whether it’s for a 15 minute course, or a 110 hour course.

You will instantly receive a confirmation email with your order details and your course login details will follow within one business working day.

Please note that course bookings can not be processed outside of normal working hours, over weekends or on bank holidays and will be processed the next business working day.

Step 1

Step 2

Once you have paid for your course(s), you will receive an email from our team advising how to begin your training.

Step 3

You will be provided with a username and password which will enable you to access the e-learning portal. Login to start your course, once you have completed and passed the course, you will be able to download and print your certificate straight away.
