Envico has arranged workplace health, safety and compliance training for UK organisations since 2003. There are three ways to buy: book online, have a course run for your own group, or be managed under an account. Which applies depends on the scale and pattern of your training programme.

The options

Three ways to buy training from Envico

Each option below sets out what it provides, what changes commercially, and the indicators that an organisation may be ready for the next one. The first two are open to any organisation. The third is established by agreement.

Search the Envico catalogue, select a course, date and venue, and pay by card or invoice to confirm your booking. Confirmation is immediate, joining instructions follow, and certification is issued to the delegate by the accredited provider.

This is the fastest route and suits any number of delegates where a suitable scheduled course already exists near them. It requires no setup and no prior arrangement, and it remains available to your organisation at every level below.

Group & on‑site training

A course run for your organisation alone · your premises or a venue you arrange · a date you select

Rather than sending people out to scheduled courses, you have a course run for your own group. Delivery is at your own premises where the course and facilities allow, or at a venue you arrange close to where your people are based. You select the date rather than working around a published schedule, and the group is certified together.

Envico arranges the accredited provider, the trainer and the certification. The venue is yours to provide — in practice usually a meeting room, canteen or site office already available to you. Envico confirms the provider's requirements for space, equipment and welfare facilities in writing before anything is booked, so there are no surprises on the day.

The saving is seldom in the course fee alone. It is in a dozen people not travelling, not staying overnight and not losing a second day to the journey. Envico quotes in writing, with an itemised, referenced quotation that supports internal approval and passes through a finance system.

There is no fixed number at which this becomes the right choice. Class sizes are capped by the awarding body and the cap varies by course, so larger groups may run as more than one cohort. Where a dedicated course would not be economical, Envico will say so and quote for places on a scheduled course instead — the comparison is made before the quotation is issued, not after.

Bookings are invoiced rather than paid by card, with the invoice settled in advance of the course. Purchase orders are accepted and carried through to the invoice.

03Managed By agreement

Envico managed account

Sustained, multi‑site requirements · managed by agreement · single point of contact

A managed account establishes a framework arrangement in place of individual transactions. It is intended for organisations with a continuing training programme across multiple sites, departments or group companies — typically national contractors, utilities, local authorities and other multi‑site employers.

A named account manager handles your bookings, knows your sites and understands which courses your roles require. Billing is consolidated, volume terms are agreed once and applied throughout, and certification is reported centrally rather than held in individual inboxes — giving a single view of who is trained, in what, and when it expires.

Accounts are established by agreement rather than on request. Envico reviews the scale and pattern of the requirement, and payment terms are set as part of that agreement. Where credit terms are appropriate they are agreed at that point, following assessment; they are not a standard feature of every arrangement.

Where the scale of the programme justifies it, an annual rebate can form part of the agreement. A rebate is calculated on the spend actually achieved across the year and paid retrospectively, rather than applied as a standing discount at the point of booking. Thresholds are set individually against the scale of the arrangement and reviewed annually.

What an Envico managed account provides

The following already operates for Envico's established account customers. It is set out here so that organisations with a substantial training programme can assess whether a managed arrangement would serve them better than transactional purchasing.

01 · PURCHASING

Purchasing and payment

Bookings are placed against a purchase order rather than a card, and Envico carries your reference through the quotation, the invoice and all correspondence. Standard practice is settlement in advance of the course; credit terms are agreed as part of the account arrangement where assessed as appropriate.

02 · BILLING

Consolidated invoicing

Multiple courses, sites, providers and blocks of e‑learning licences can be consolidated onto a single invoice. Your finance team processes one document rather than reconciling receipts across departments.

03 · CONTACT

A named account manager

One person who knows your sites, your roles and your booking history. Your team stops restating the same context with every request, and receives a considered answer rather than a set of search results.

04 · REPORTING

Certification expiry tracking

Envico records what your people were certified in and when that certification lapses, and contacts you ahead of expiry. Renewals are planned into a quarter rather than identified the week a delegate is due on site.

Unrecorded training spend. In most organisations of any scale, a proportion of training is purchased directly by individuals on cards, without visibility to the training, HR or procurement function. This is a natural consequence of online booking being straightforward. The commercial effect is a training spend higher than the reported figure, no central certification record, and no volume terms applied to that expenditure.

Where an organisation suspects this is occurring, Envico can report on what has been purchased under its email domain and consolidate those bookings under a single account.

Need a price for a specific course or group?

This is not the fastest route. Quotations for group and on‑site training are handled directly through the Envico group training form, which asks for the course, dates and delegate numbers and reaches the bookings team the same day.

About your organisation

Only name, organisation and email are required. The remaining questions help Envico assess whether an account would genuinely improve on how you buy at present, and shape the first conversation so it is not spent gathering basics.

A broad band is sufficient. It is used to assess fit, not to set pricing.

Envico is ISO 9001 certified and can complete supplier questionnaires, insurance and compliance documentation as part of onboarding.

The more specific the current frustration, the more useful the first conversation.

Envico normally responds within one working day. Your details are used to assess and discuss an account arrangement, and are never sold or passed to third parties beyond the accredited providers required to fulfil any subsequent booking. See our privacy policy.

Accounts and commercial terms

Questions concerning course formats, on-site delivery, venue requirements and e‑learning licences are addressed on the Envico group and on‑site training page.

Who is a managed account suitable for?

Managed accounts are intended for organisations with a continuing training requirement across multiple sites, departments or group companies — typically national contractors, utilities, local authorities and other multi‑site employers. They are established by agreement following a review of the scale and pattern of the requirement, rather than opened on request. Organisations booking less frequently are generally better served by group and on-site training, which needs no arrangement in place and can be quoted immediately.

Do you provide the venue for on-site training?

No. The venue is arranged by you — either your own premises or a room you hire. Envico arranges the accredited provider, the trainer and the certification, and confirms in writing what the course requires in terms of space, equipment and welfare facilities before anything is booked. Most organisations use a meeting room, canteen or site office already available to them.

Is there a charge for an account or a quotation?

No. Envico makes no account fee, no charge for arranging training and no charge for a quotation, at any of the three levels. Envico is remunerated by the accredited providers with whom bookings are placed, which is why we are able to commit time to your requirement without invoicing you for it.

Can we still book online once we have an account?

Yes. The website remains fully available and unchanged. An account adds a purchasing route rather than removing one. Most account customers continue to book individual seats online while directing larger requirements, or anything requiring a purchase order, through their named account manager.

What are your payment terms?

For group and on-site training, Envico issues an invoice which is settled in advance of the course. Purchase orders are accepted and carried through the quotation, the invoice and all correspondence. Places are held provisionally and confirmed once payment is received, so please allow sufficient lead time for your finance process.

Credit terms are not offered as standard. They are considered for managed account customers as part of the account agreement, following assessment, and are set according to the scale and nature of the arrangement.

Do you offer volume discounts or rebates?

Envico does not operate a standing discount. Course prices are set by the accredited provider and quoted consistently, which means your budget holders are comparing stable figures rather than negotiated ones.

Where a managed account reaches a level of annual spend agreed at the outset, an annual rebate can form part of the arrangement. It is calculated on the spend actually achieved across the year and paid retrospectively, with the threshold set according to the scale of the programme and reviewed annually. Rebates are agreed in writing as part of the account agreement and are not a feature of every arrangement.

Can you cover multiple sites, depots or subsidiaries?

Yes, and this is frequently where the greatest improvement is available. Where several locations or group companies purchase independently, consolidation provides a single view of expenditure and certification, and generally improved terms. Indicate this on the enquiry form and Envico will review how your bookings currently sit.

How do you track our renewal dates?

Envico holds a record of what was booked, for whom and when, together with the validity period set by the awarding body, and contacts you ahead of expiry so that renewals can be planned. Certification itself is issued by the accredited provider or awarding body, not by Envico.

Can you report on what our staff have already booked?

Where bookings were placed under your organisation's email domain, yes. Envico can report on what has been purchased and consolidate those bookings under a single account. This is worth requesting even where you believe the position is understood: independent card bookings by individual employees are common and are rarely visible to the budget holder.

What if the course we need has no dates running?

Envico does not advertise dates that have not been confirmed. Instead, we take the requirement to providers as evidenced demand: a specific course, a specific region, a specific delegate count and a specific month. That represents a considerably stronger case for scheduling than a general enquiry, and a number of the dates now running originated this way.

Do you deliver the training yourselves?

No. Envico is an independent training intermediary and has arranged workplace training since 2003. We are not an accredited provider and we neither deliver nor certificate training. All courses are delivered by accredited providers and all certification is issued by those providers or the relevant awarding body. That independence is what allows Envico to recommend across a broad catalogue rather than direct you toward a course of our own.
