About LOLER Management & Inspection for Duty Holders
The Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations place a legal responsibility on employers and people who own, operate or have control over lifting equipment. This includes everything from large cranes operated on construction sites, fork trucks in warehouses and hoists used to move patients in care homes. And the duties include ensuring such equipment is suitable and adequately risk assessed, controlled, inspected and maintained.
This online LOLER Competent Person course provides anyone with such duties with a greater awareness of how to ensure compliance, while ensuring the safety of their operations.
Why Is LOLER Competent Person Training Important?
When lifting accidents occur they often have devastating consequences due to their nature. Accidents such as the failure of the lifting equipment, falling loads and crushing incidents can easily result in injuries and death, as well as millions in property damage.
Any organisation that operates lifting equipment must take steps to minimise the risk of such accidents occurring. This is not just a legal duty, but a duty to anyone that may be impacted by their operations and the shareholders of their organisation.
