Mental Health First Aid Refresher – Online (Instructor-led)
This half-day MHFA England accredited refresher is for Mental Health First Aiders (MHFAiders®) who have held their certification for three years or more. It renews your skills, updates your knowledge of mental health support, and gives you a chance to practise applying the MHFA action plan.

Delivered live online via Microsoft Teams.

- Renewing MHFAider® skills and knowledge of mental health support
- Practising the Mental Health First Aid action plan
- Updates on mental health support resources and signposting
Course Duration
This is a half-day course, running 09:00 to 13:00.
Assessment
Learning takes place through a mix of presentations, group discussions and workshop activities. There is no formal exam.
Certification
On completion, delegates are recertified as MHFAiders® for a further three years and are invited to join the Association of Mental Health First Aiders, with access to the MHFAider Support App®, the MHFA England Online Learning Hub, quarterly webinars, and monthly newsletters.

Who is this course for?

Do I need any equipment to join the online session?
Just a device with a stable internet connection and Microsoft Teams to join the live session.
How often should MHFAiders renew their certification?
MHFA England recommends renewing every three years through a Refresher course.
Is the original two-day Mental Health First Aid course required first?
Yes, this refresher is only for delegates who already hold MHFAider® certification from the full two-day course.
Related Courses
For short courses a completion certificate is available at the end of the course. You can screenshot this or print it out to confirm completion of the training.
For accredited courses a certificate will be sent directly to you from the appropriate awarding body.
To join online courses, delegates have to log in via a link provided through a computer or laptop with a camera, screen, microphone and access to the internet.

Short online courses also help employers to demonstrate that they have fulfilled their legal duties to ensure their personnel have been adequately trained.
Once the courses have been completed, a confirmation of results can be saved or printed as evidence. This can then be kept on record as evidence of suitable training.
