NEBOSH, CITB and IOSH Training in Rainham, Kent and Wandsworth, London
Lighthouse Safety runs one of the deepest NEBOSH ranges of any provider on Envico, delivered from centres at Rainham in Kent and Wandsworth in south London, with much of the catalogue also available live online. Alongside the CITB and IOSH staples they cover fire safety at certificate level, ProQual NVQs by home study, and mental health first aid — a combination that suits employers building genuine in-house safety capability rather than just meeting card requirements.
NEBOSH — the deepest part of the range
The
NEBOSH catalogue covers the National General Certificate at Rainham and online, the International General Certificate online, Health and Safety Management for Construction, and the Certificate in Fire Safety at Rainham, Earlsfield and online. Beyond the certificates sit three shorter HSE-badged qualifications: Manual Handling Risk Assessment, the Award in Managing Risks and Risk Assessment at Work, and Introduction to Incident Investigation.
Site safety management — CITB
SMSTS and its refresher at both Rainham and Wandsworth,
SSSTS and refresher at both plus live online,
Health and Safety Awareness at both centres, online, and as an assisted learning option for delegates who need extra support. Temporary Works Coordinator and Supervisor and SEATS complete the range. See all
CITB courses.
IOSH
Managing Safely and its refresher, Working Safely, and Leading Safely, plus two less common titles — IOSH Fire Safety for Managers and IOSH Managing Sustainability. Browse all
IOSH courses.
NVQs by home study
ProQual Level 3 Certificate and Level 6 Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, both by home study with portfolio assessment. The Level 6 is the route to Graduate IOSH membership and eventually CMIOSH for practitioners already working in the field. See all
NVQ courses.
Mental health and first aid
MHFAider at Rainham with a refresher available online, plus Mental Health Awareness. Qualsafe first aid at both EFAW and FAW level, and a Level 2 Award in
Working at Height.
Which centre, and can I do it online?
Rainham carries the fuller range and is the only venue for NEBOSH General Certificate, MHFA and first aid. Wandsworth covers the CITB range and Temporary Works, with NEBOSH Fire Safety at nearby Earlsfield. A substantial part of the catalogue also runs live online — including SSSTS, HSA, NEBOSH General and Fire Safety, and IOSH Managing Safely — so if travel is the obstacle, check the online listing before ruling a course out.
NEBOSH General or the ProQual NVQ?
Both lead towards professional recognition but suit different people. The NEBOSH General Certificate is taught and examined, works well if you want structure and a fixed timetable, and is the usual starting point. The ProQual NVQ is portfolio-based home study, evidencing what you already do in your current role — better suited to someone with real safety responsibility who would struggle to attend a taught programme. The Level 6 Diploma is the higher-level route towards Graduate IOSH.
