Course Content
- Identifying hazards and available resources
- Assessing risks in low to medium risk premises using simple HSE tools
- Evaluating risks in a proportionate and sensible manner
- Identifying suitable control measures
Course Duration
This is a one-day qualification with a minimum of six hours' study and around one hour for the assessment, completed within a single day.
Assessment
A practical assessment is completed at the end of the day. Candidates watch a video of a real workplace and complete a risk assessment to identify how they would manage and prioritise the risks present.
Certification
Successful candidates receive the NEBOSH HSE Award in Managing Risks and Risk Assessment at Work, a qualification developed jointly with the Health and Safety Executive.
