NEBOSH HSE Award in Managing Risks and Risk Assessment at Work in Sheffield, South Yorkshire
This one-day qualification was developed jointly by NEBOSH and the Health and Safety Executive for people who have to produce risk assessments rather than just read them.
The emphasis is on proportionate judgement: assessing risk sensibly in a low to medium risk premises using the HSE's own tools, without generating paperwork nobody uses. For higher-hazard environments you would want something broader, such as the NEBOSH General Certificate.
Compared with IOSH Managing Safely, this is a single day focused tightly on risk assessment, where Managing Safely is three days covering the wider management role.
