Frequently Asked Questions
Is the NEBOSH International General Certificate recognised outside the UK?
Yes. The qualification is designed around international standards rather than UK-specific legislation, and is recognised by employers across the world.
What's the difference between this and the NEBOSH General Certificate?
The International General Certificate covers the same core management and risk assessment skills, but is based on international standards such as ISO 45001 and ILO-OSH 2001 rather than UK law, making it suitable for learners working outside the UK.
Do I need any previous health and safety experience?
No. There are no formal entry requirements, although a good standard of English (equivalent to IELTS 6.0) is recommended.
What is included in the course price?
The price includes tuition, NEBOSH exam fees and course materials.
Can I progress to further qualifications afterwards?
Yes. Many learners progress to the NEBOSH International Diploma or other advanced health and safety qualifications after completing the IGC.
