Qualsafe Level 2 Award in Working at Height Training

This half-day course is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification designed to increase awareness of safety considerations when working at height, including the equipment used and how to maintain a safe working environment. It's ideal for anyone who works, or is aspiring to work, in an environment that may require working at height, such as construction, agriculture, forestry, factories and warehouses.

This course runs at our training centre in Rainham, Kent, ME8 8BE. We can also deliver this course at your workplace if suitable facilities are available – get in touch to discuss in-house options.

Who Should Attend

This qualification is for anyone with a specific responsibility for working at height, or who works in an environment where working at height is required.

Course Content

  • Legislation, regulations, roles and responsibilities when working at height
  • The consequences of non-compliance
  • Safe working practices when working at height
  • How to reduce the risks from weather conditions, working environments, others working at height, falling objects and fragile surfaces
  • The importance of risk assessments
  • Rescue plan requirements
  • Types of equipment and testing requirements
  • Identifying safety precautions when using equipment
  • Reporting procedures when equipment is faulty

Course Duration

This is a half-day (approximately 3-hour) course.

Assessment

Delegates are assessed throughout the course through practical activities, a test paper and a practical assessment.

Certification

On successful completion, delegates receive the Qualsafe Level 2 Award in Working at Height Training certificate.
