Mental Health First Aid (MHFAider®) – Rainham, Kent
This two-day MHFA England accredited course qualifies delegates as Mental Health First Aiders (MHFAiders®), giving them the skills and confidence to spot the signs of mental health issues, offer support, and guide colleagues toward further help.

Course Content
- An in-depth understanding of mental health and the factors that can affect wellbeing
- Practical skills to spot the triggers and signs of a range of mental health issues
- Using the Mental Health First Aid action plan to reassure and support a person in distress
- Non-judgemental listening skills
- Guiding someone toward further support, including self-help resources, EAPs, or their GP
- How to keep yourself safe while performing MHFAider duties
Course Duration
This is a two-day course, running 09:00 to 16:00 each day. Numbers are limited to 16 people per course.
Assessment
Learning takes place through presentations, group discussions and workshop activities built around the Mental Health First Aid action plan. There is no formal exam.
Certification
On completion, delegates receive a digital MHFAider® certificate, a hard copy workbook, a digital manual, a wallet-sized MHFA action plan reference card, and three years' access to the MHFAider Support App®.
