Blended Learning

Blended learning combines online study with instructor-led classroom training. Delegates complete one day of theory through the online learning portal, followed by one day of practical classroom training with other delegates.

This format reduces time away from the workplace while maintaining the same standard of learning and assessment.

Part 1: Online Learning

The online element is self-directed and is expected to take approximately one day to complete. Delegates can work through the modules at their own pace and in their own environment.

The online training must be completed within the six weeks before the face-to-face training day.

Part 2: Face-to-Face Training

The classroom element consists of one day of instructor-led training in a small group. A specialist trainer will teach the essential life-saving skills required for the qualification.

Delegates will take part in practical group activities, practise essential first aid skills, ask questions and complete practical and written assessments. The assessment may also cover topics completed during the online training.

Course Requirements

  • Delegates must be aged 16 or older.
  • Delegates must have a basic command of English, defined as Level 2.
  • Delegates must complete all course modules.
  • Delegates must act in a professional and appropriate manner throughout the course.
  • Delegates must be physically able to demonstrate CPR.

If you require reasonable adjustments, please contact the Customer Services team before attending the course so suitable arrangements can be considered.
