One Stop Safety Training

CITB, PASMA, IPAF and First Aid Training Across Ten UK Centres

One Stop Safety Training lives up to the name — CITB site cards, PASMA and IPAF access training, IOSH, UKATA asbestos, first aid and a full set of practical short courses, delivered from ten centres spread across the North West, Yorkshire, the North East, Nottingham and Kent. For an employer needing several different competences across a workforce, getting them from one provider at one of ten venues removes a lot of administration.

Site safety management — CITB
SMSTS and its refresher at Blackburn, Stretford, Wirral, Wigan, Chorley, Sunderland and Nottingham, and SSSTS and refresher across the same network. SEATS — the Site Environmental Awareness Training Scheme — runs at Stretford and Wigan. Both SMSTS and SSSTS last five years and the refreshers must be taken before expiry. See all CITB courses.
PASMA tower training
Towers for Users at Blackburn, Stretford, Wythenshawe, Leeds, Nottingham, Sunderland and Erith; Combined Towers for Users and Low-Level Access at Blackburn and Wythenshawe; and Towers for Managers at Stretford and Blackburn. Training the managers who specify tower use, as well as the operatives who build them, is what actually changes site practice.
IPAF powered access
IPAF Dual 3a & 3b Operator at Blackburn, Wythenshawe and Sunderland, covering mobile scissor and mobile boom together. Plus IPAF Harness Awareness, Use and Inspection at Wythenshawe. Browse all working at height courses.
Working at height and harness
Safe Working at Height, Safety Harness & Lanyard Awareness, and Ladder & Stepladder Awareness, each running at five centres — Blackburn, Stretford, Wirral, Wigan and Chorley. Falls from height remain the largest single cause of workplace fatalities in Great Britain, and a substantial share involve ladders on short-duration work rather than scaffolds.
First aid and fire
Emergency First Aid at Work at Blackburn, Stretford, Wirral, Wigan and Chorley; First Aid at Work at Stretford and Wigan with requalification at Stretford. Fire Marshal at five centres. See all first aid courses.
IOSH
IOSH Managing Safely at Blackburn, Stretford, Chorley and Sunderland — the three-day qualification for supervisors and managers with day-to-day responsibility. Browse all IOSH courses.
Asbestos and practical site skills
UKATA Asbestos Awareness at five centres, CAT and Genny for locating buried services, Safe Use of Abrasive Wheels, Manual Handling Awareness, Vehicle Banksman, and Face Fit Train the Tester — which qualifies your own staff to fit test RPE rather than buying it in each time a mask changes.
Which centre covers me?
Blackburn, Stretford, Wythenshawe, Wigan, Wirral and Chorley cover the North West densely — Manchester, Merseyside and Lancashire are all within reach of at least two. Leeds serves West Yorkshire, Sunderland the North East, Nottingham the East Midlands, and Erith covers Kent and south east London. The range differs by centre, so check the course you want runs at the venue nearest you before travelling.
