On-site personnel responsible for managing all categories and types of temporary works. The course suits project managers, site engineers, designers, senior managers, supervisors and health and safety professionals, along with anyone working with contractors responsible for planning, designing and managing temporary works.
Supervising temporary works rather than coordinating them? See the one-day Temporary Works Supervisor course at this venue.
What You'll Learn
The course gives a thorough grounding in the Temporary Works Coordinator role, how it interlocks with other key parties such as Temporary Works Supervisors and designers, and an in-depth understanding of BS 5975:2019 — the authoritative standard for the procedural control of temporary works. It carries endorsements from the Health and Safety Executive, the Temporary Works Forum, the UK Construction Group and the Civil Engineering Contractors Association.
Certification
Successful delegates receive a CITB-approved Temporary Works Coordinator certificate.
Entry Requirements
Delegates are expected to have a good standard of spoken and written English, as required by the scheme rules.
Renewal
Renewal runs on a strict window: only learners who have completed the TWCTC or its refresher within the last five years are eligible for the TWCTC Refresher. Miss it and the full two-day course has to be taken again.
Good to Know
Holding a CITB SSSTS or SMSTS is not a prerequisite, but the background knowledge helps.
