What is the CITB Temporary Works Supervisor Course?
The Temporary Works Supervisor Training Course (TWSTC) is the one-day CITB Site Safety Plus programme for the person who supervises temporary works on site and reports to the temporary works coordinator. Created with the Temporary Works Forum, the HSE and Build UK, it follows BS 5975:2019 and BS 5975-1:2024 and concentrates on the management and procedural side of temporary works – the four Cs of communication, coordination, cooperation and competence – rather than technical design.
Who is the TWSTC Course Suitable For?
People with experience of, or about to take on, responsibility for supervising temporary works – site supervisors, engineers, project managers and health and safety staff. A good standard of English and a valid form of photo ID are required. Attendance supports competence as a temporary works supervisor but does not by itself confer it.
What's Included in the TWSTC Course?
One day of live instructor-led training over Zoom, course materials written by temporary works specialists, and the CITB mandatory publication for the course.
