This theory element of IPAF Operator courses can be taken remotely as an e-learning option reducing the time spent at our training centre to around half a day. You will need access to either a computer with a web cam, or a tablet with camera to be able to complete the theory part of the test remotely using the e-learning option. The practical part of the course will still need to be completed at one of our training centres.
The online IPAF Operator course enables trainees to become competent in driving MEWPs safely and correctly.
The IPAF PAL Card is recognised by the HSE, CITB, HAE and the Major Contractors Group (MCG). It also satisfies the Work at Height Regulations 2005 and the PUWER Regulations 1998.
IPAF's e-learning provides a flexible and enhanced online learning experience. It delivers the same high-quality theory training as in the classroom and can be completed on a range of devices, anytime, anywhere, at your own pace.

IPAF e-learning training for operators is available for all MEWP categories (1b, 3a & 3b) and takes around three hours to complete. The e-learning is broken into manageable sections that you can complete at your own pace, with the ability to save and resume anytime.
Who Should Attend
Anyone who operates a mobile elevating work platform requires a PAL Card, which must be renewed every 5 years. Over 90,000 MEWP operators are trained each year worldwide through IPAF’s network of approved training centres, including GT Access.

For short courses a completion certificate is available at the end of the course. You can screenshot this or print it out to confirm completion of the training.
For accredited courses a certificate will be sent directly to you from the appropriate awarding body.
E-learning and Online (Instructor-led) training is more flexible, efficient, and cost-effective.
Short online courses also help employers to demonstrate that they have fulfilled their legal duties to ensure their personnel have been adequately trained.
Once the courses have been completed, a confirmation of results can be saved or printed as evidence. This can then be kept on record as evidence of suitable training.
