CITB Site Supervisors’ Safety Training Scheme Refresher
The SSSTS Refresher course is designed for construction site supervisors who already hold a valid SSSTS certificate and need to renew their qualification before it expires.
This one-day CITB refresher course updates learners on current health, safety, welfare and environmental legislation, along with recent changes to industry guidance and best practice. It helps supervisors maintain the knowledge required to manage construction site safety effectively.

Entry Requirements
Delegates must hold a valid SSSTS certificate. The refresher course must be completed before the current certificate expires.
If a delegate’s SSSTS certificate has already expired, they will usually need to complete the full two-day SSSTS course again to renew their qualification.

Course Duration
The SSSTS Refresher course is completed in one day.
Assessment
Learners are assessed throughout the course through participation, group exercises and tutor observation. The course also includes a multiple-choice examination at the end of the day.
Certification
Successful delegates receive the CITB Site Supervisors’ Safety Training Scheme Refresher certificate. The renewed certificate is valid for five years.
