Fire Safety Legislation

Process fire precautions are safety measures designed to prevent fires resulting from specific workplace processes or activities — especially those involving flammable substances, hot work such as welding or cutting, or high-risk machinery. These include isolating ignition sources, ensuring proper ventilation, using flameproof materials, and enforcing hot work permit systems.

Building Regulations for Fire Safety

Building Regulations Approved Document B sets out legal guidelines for fire safety in the design and construction of buildings, covering the installation of fire alarms, fire doors, and fire-resistant materials. This applies to new constructions, major refurbishments, and some types of alterations.
