Asbestos, CITB and First Aid Training in Plymouth and Bristol

For contractors working across Devon, Cornwall and the Bristol corridor it removes the usual problem of travelling east for asbestos or streetworks competence.

Asbestos — the full progression
UKATA Asbestos Awareness at both Plymouth and Bristol for anyone whose work might disturb asbestos, UKATA Non-Licensable Asbestos at both centres for those actually carrying out Category B work, and a Non-Licensed Asbestos Operative Refresher at Plymouth. The refresher matters — non-licensed work training must be repeated annually to remain valid.

Streetworks

Awareness, Category B or the refresher?
Three different things. Asbestos Awareness is for anyone who might come across asbestos — it teaches recognition and what to do on discovery, and does not permit any work with it. Non-Licensable (Category B) training is for people actually carrying out lower-risk asbestos work such as removing asbestos cement sheeting. That training must be refreshed every twelve months. Awareness has no fixed statutory refresh interval but annual updating is the accepted standard.
