CCNSG, CITB and Practical Access Training in the Midlands
Webbs Training Services runs from three centres — Birmingham, Leicester and Milton Keynes — covering both general construction and engineering-construction site access. The ECITB CCNSG Safety Passport is delivered at all three, including renewals and a test-only route, which is a wider spread than most providers manage for that scheme. Around it sits the CITB Site Safety Plus range, a substantial practical catalogue covering IPAF harness work, ladders, towers and forklift operation, and first aid at every level.
CCNSG Safety Passport — including renewals
The ECITB
CCNSG Safety Passport runs at Birmingham, Leicester and Milton Keynes, with the renewal course at all three and a test-only renewal option at Birmingham. CCNSG is required for access to engineering-construction sites — process plants, power generation, chemical works and major maintenance — where a CSCS card alone will not get you through the gate. The test-only route is worth knowing about: if your card is still in date and you meet the criteria, it is considerably quicker than sitting the full two-day course again.

Temporary works
Both the
Temporary Works Coordinator and
Temporary Works Supervisor courses run at Birmingham and live online. If you are appointing under BS 5975, having both roles trained by the same provider on compatible dates is usually easier to arrange than piecing them together.

Ladders, towers and scaffold
The
Ladder Association range is split three ways — User, Inspection, and the combined course — each at Birmingham and Milton Keynes.
PASMA Towers for Users and the combined low-level access and towers course run at both centres, with Towers for Managers online. Scaffold awareness (one day) and scaffold inspection (two days) run at Birmingham. See the wider

Forklift, racking and warehouse
RTITB fork lift truck training runs at Birmingham at three levels — novice, experienced operator and refresher — alongside racking safety awareness. The novice and experienced routes differ substantially in length and price, so it is worth being honest about a candidate’s actual hours on a truck rather than defaulting to the cheaper option.
First aid
Emergency First Aid at Work runs at all three centres, the three-day First Aid at Work at Birmingham and Milton Keynes, and FAW requalification at all three. Requalification must be completed before the three-year certificate expires, otherwise it is the full three-day course again. Browse all

Confined space, IOSH and RAMS
City & Guilds 6160-09 Medium Risk Entrant and Entry Controller runs at Birmingham, covering both entering the space and controlling entry from outside — see all

IOSH Managing Safely runs at all three centres and online, with Working Safely at Birmingham. A Risk Assessment and Method Statement course is delivered live online — writing the documents rather than only complying with them, which matters because most supervisors are expected to produce RAMS having never been taught how.
CCNSG or CSCS in the Midlands?
Different sectors, and neither substitutes for the other. CSCS covers general construction; CCNSG covers engineering-construction. The Midlands has substantial process and manufacturing industry alongside its construction sector, so contractors moving between the two frequently need both cards. Webbs is one of the few providers on this site delivering both routes from the same three centres.
