The Airgun Proficiency Course (APC) is a nationally recognised, LANTRA-accredited qualification that sets the standard for airgun training in the UK. It is designed for both recreational shooters and professional pest control operatives who need to demonstrate safe, effective, and responsible airgun use.

Course Structure
The APC consists of two core elements: a theory component delivered online through interactive modules and exams, and a practical assessment carried out in the field by an approved verifier.
Assessment
Candidates complete a series of online multiple-choice assessments followed by a final timed examination.
After successfully completing the theory element, candidates must undertake a practical assessment where they demonstrate safe handling, correct use of an airgun, and accurate shot placement under supervision.
Practical Verification
Practical assessments are conducted by approved verifiers located across the UK. Candidates are provided with a list of verifiers and can arrange assessment locally, either individually or as part of a group session.
Certification & Recognition
Upon successful completion of both the theory and practical elements, candidates are awarded a LANTRA-accredited APC Certificate. This qualification is recognised as an industry standard and demonstrates a high level of competence in airgun use.
