Who is the CACHE Level 3 Award in Childcare and Education Course Suitable For?

The CACHE Level 3 Award in Childcare and Education course is suitable for anyone looking to work in childcare or current practitioners that are already working in early years. 

The CACHE Level 3 Award in Childcare and Education will provide learners with the knowledge required to work with children from birth to 8 years. This course covers the health and development of a child during the early years and the role of an early years practitioner during this vital stage of life. Learners are not required to complete a placement or have any previous knowledge of working with children to complete this course. The qualification is accepted and fully recognised by Ofsted.

This course is suitable for anyone looking to work as an early years practitioner within a childcare setting. Upon completion, learners will be awarded a CACHE Level 3 certificate at no extra cost, and will qualify to work as a Nursery Nurse or Teaching Assistant.

Qualification

To gain the full CACHE Level 2 Certificate in Introducing Caring for Children & Young People you will need to submit, and pass, 13 tutor marked assignments. There are nine assignments for Unit 1 and four assignments for Unit 2.

There is no formal exam and the certification fee is included in the course fees.

Upon completion of this qualification, students are awarded a CACHE Level 2 Certificate in Introducing Caring for Children & Young People. All certification fees are included in your course fees.

Course Content

Included in this course are the following two mandatory units:

  • Child development from Conception to 7 Years
  • Children’s Health and Wellbeing

    Assessment / Exam

    There are no formal examinations on this course and the certification fee is included in the course fees. 

    To pass this course learners must pass several assignments. These are completed after navigating through the corresponding lessons and writing your answers to assignment questions. Once these have been read and marked by your personal tutor, feedback and marks are provided to students which contain helpful tips to improve work in future assignments.

    CACHE Level 3 Qualification

    This is a knowledge only qualification. Experience in the real work environment is not required and the entire course is completed online. Please note that this is a knowledge only Level 3 qualification and does not require any practical assessments. The course gives a foundation for the level 3 practitioner but not a license to practice.Learners are required to pass 12 assignments in order to gain the CACHE Level 3 Award in Childcare and Education (VRQ).
