CITB Site Management Safety Training Scheme Online

The Site Manager's Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) course is the most recognised training course for site managers in the UK. It is accredited by the CITB, and covers all aspects of health and safety on site. This version is delivered as a live online block of five days.

Who is the Course For?

Individuals responsible for planning, organising, monitoring, controlling and administering a workforce on site. Typically this would be site managers, potential site managers, and senior staff with health and safety responsibilities.

Delegates must be able to read, write and understand English to a management level.

Course Delivery

Live online training delivered by a tutor, combining teaching, group discussions and individual and group presentations. Delegates need a reliable internet connection, a device with a camera and microphone, and a quiet space to work for the duration of the course.

Course Content

The course covers a wide range of topics including risk assessment, relevant regulations and legislation, health and safety responsibilities, and working at height.

Completion of the Course

Successful delegates receive the SMSTS certificate awarded by the CITB, and are entered onto the CITB Construction Training Register. The certificate is valid for five years. To maintain the qualification, holders must attend the two day SMSTS Refresher before the certificate expires, otherwise the full course must be retaken.

Step 2

Once you have paid for your course(s), you will receive an email from our team advising how to begin your training.

Step 3

You will be provided with a username and password which will enable you to access the e-learning portal. Login to start your course, once you have completed and passed the course, you will be able to download and print your certificate straight away.
