This one-day IOSH-approved course is written for people with operational or strategic accountability for an organisation: directors, board members, business owners and senior leaders.

It treats safety as a governance question rather than an operational one, covering the legal exposure that sits at board level and how safety objectives get integrated into business objectives instead of running alongside them. Directors do not need to carry out risk assessments themselves; they need to understand what they are accountable for and what good looks like when it is reported to them.

Delivery Method

Delivered at the IOSH-approved training centre at Unit 8, 12 O'Clock Court, 21 Attercliffe Road, Sheffield, S4 7WW. This course can also be run privately for your own board, built around your organisation's risk profile and reporting.

Certification

Successful delegates receive an IOSH-approved certificate. Assessment is by a personal commitment statement completed after the course. There is no examination.
