The IPAF Powered Access Licence is internationally recognised as the foremost qualification for the operation of powered access platforms. IPAF sets recognised standards for the safe and effective use of mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs) worldwide.

This one day course covers category 1b, static boom machines.

Who is the Course For?

Anyone who needs to operate a MEWP safely and effectively in this category. Those who may be required to supervise or rescue an operator also benefit from the course. This is an entry level course and candidates do not need any prior experience of operating a MEWP.

Classroom training in Birmingham, West Midlands, B7 5AR. The course consists of a theory section followed by practical training on the machine.

Completion of the Course

The course comprises a theory section and test, followed by practical training and a practical test. On successful completion delegates receive an internationally recognised PAL Card, typically valid for five years.
