Managing Scaffold Activities Course Online (Instructor-led)

Course Overview

A one-day live online course giving delegates the knowledge they need to manage scaffold activities on site. Every company that uses scaffolding has a duty to make sure it is erected and used in line with legal requirements and current best practice.

This course does not qualify delegates to carry out TG20:21-compliant scaffold inspections. Anyone who needs to inspect scaffolds should book the two-day Managing and Inspecting Scaffolds course instead.

Anyone responsible for employees who use scaffolds, people who manage scaffold activities, and those who have scaffolding erected at their workplace.

Delivery Method

Live online training with an SSG instructor, delivered by video conference. You will need a computer with a camera, microphone and a reliable internet connection.

• Law that applies to scaffold structures
• Choosing suitable scaffold companies and scaffolders
• Specifying a scaffold
• The scaffolder’s safe system of work (NASC SG4)
• Scaffold inspection requirements (no practical inspection on this course)
• System scaffolds
• An introduction to NASC TG20:21 and the NASC e-guide
• Tube and fitting standard configurations and bespoke designs

Assessment and Certification

Delegates are assessed through their participation. Successful delegates receive an SSG attendance certificate.
