Rescue 3 – Safe Working in Water (SWIW) in Exeter, Devon (Classroom)

Course Overview

A two-day Rescue 3 course giving the knowledge and techniques needed by people who work in or near water. Staff working within three metres of water are advised to be trained in basic rescue techniques and emergency procedures. The course covers suitable PPE and simple rescue techniques for rescuing co-workers safely.

People in environmental, construction, highways, civil engineering, groundworks and leisure work.

• Shallow water techniques
• Strainer swim
• Tethered boat options
• Casualty management
• People and equipment entrapments

Certification

Successful delegates receive a Rescue 3 certificate. Requalification is recommended every three years.
