It depends on the work and on whether you are an operative or a supervisor. Signing, lighting and guarding is the baseline for anyone setting out a site in the highway. Location and avoidance is essential before any excavation. Operatives excavating and reinstating need further units covering backfill and surface reinstatement. Supervisors need the S-numbered equivalents rather than the operative versions.
