IOSH Managing Safely and Working Safely — Reading and Online

Bravanark Network focuses on the two core IOSH qualifications — Managing Safely for supervisors and managers, Working Safely for the wider workforce — delivered in classroom at Reading and live online. Having both available either way suits organisations training a mixed group where some can attend and others cannot.

IOSH Managing Safely
IOSH Managing Safely in classroom at Reading and live online, with the Managing Safely Refresher online. The three-day qualification for anyone with day-to-day responsibility for people or activities — risk assessment, hazard identification, investigation and measuring performance.
IOSH Working Safely
IOSH Working Safely in classroom at Reading and live online. A one-day course for the whole workforce rather than managers, covering personal responsibility and common workplace hazards. Browse all IOSH courses.
Managing Safely or Working Safely?
Working Safely is for everyone — a one-day grounding in why safety matters and what each person is responsible for. Managing Safely is three days and aimed at anyone who directs the work of others, covering how to assess risk and manage it rather than simply comply. Organisations commonly put the whole workforce through Working Safely and supervisors upward through Managing Safely.
Does the refresher matter?
IOSH recommends refreshing Managing Safely every three years. It is not a statutory expiry in the way a CITB card lapses, but the certificate loses credibility with clients and auditors as it ages, and the content does change. The refresher is a single day against three for the full course.
