Paediatric and Workplace First Aid, CITB and IOSH Training in Leyland, Lancashire
Centaur Training Services runs an unusually deep first aid range from Leyland — covering not just the standard workplace qualifications but paediatric, early years, forest school, schools and sports variants. Alongside that sits the CITB site safety range and IOSH, making it a practical choice for nurseries, schools and sports clubs as well as construction employers in central Lancashire.
Paediatric and education first aid
This is where Centaur stands out. Level 2 Emergency Paediatric First Aid, Level 3 Full Early Years Paediatric First Aid — the qualification Ofsted requires for early years staff — a combined Level 3 Paediatric and Forest School First Aid, a First Aid in Schools qualification, and Emergency First Aid in Sports. Very few providers carry all five.

Which paediatric qualification do I need?
Level 3 Full Early Years Paediatric First Aid is the twelve-hour qualification required by the EYFS statutory framework for early years staff — a nursery generally needs someone with this on site at all times. Level 2 Emergency Paediatric is the shorter six-hour version, suitable as supporting cover but not as the EYFS requirement on its own. Forest School and Schools variants add outdoor and education-specific content.
