CITB Site Safety, Working at Height and Asbestos Training in Burgess Hill, West Sussex

Complete Health & Safety delivers the CITB Site Safety Plus range from Burgess Hill alongside two practical courses that cover the most common causes of injury on smaller sites — falls from ladders and stepladders, and disturbing asbestos in older buildings. For Sussex contractors it puts cards and practical competence in one place between Brighton and Gatwick.

Site safety management — CITB
The core Site Safety Plus range at Burgess Hill: SMSTS and its refresher, SSSTS and its refresher, and Health and Safety Awareness — the one-day course underpinning the green CSCS labourer card. See all CITB courses.
Working at height, ladders and stepladders
A Working at Height course including safe use of ladders and stepladders. Falls from height remain the largest single cause of workplace fatalities in Great Britain, and a substantial share involve ladders on short-duration work rather than scaffolds. Browse all working at height courses.
Asbestos awareness
Asbestos Awareness at Burgess Hill — for anyone whose work might disturb asbestos-containing materials. Any building constructed or refurbished before 2000 may contain it, which covers a large share of the Sussex housing and commercial stock.
Do I need Health and Safety Awareness or SSSTS?
Health and Safety Awareness is the one-day entry course, aimed at operatives and the usual route to a green CSCS labourer card. SSSTS is the two-day supervisor course for anyone controlling the work of others. They are not alternatives at the same level — HSA comes first, and SSSTS assumes you are moving into a supervisory role.
