GEM Compliance Training

CITB, IOSH and First Aid Training Across Yorkshire and the North

GEM Compliance Training delivers CITB site safety schemes, IOSH qualifications and workplace first aid across Yorkshire, with classroom venues in Hull, Bradford, Huddersfield, Halifax, Keighley, Skipton and Mexborough, plus Manchester. Much of the range is also available live online or as self-paced e-learning, which makes them a practical option for employers whose teams are spread across sites or who need to train without releasing people for travel.

Site safety management — CITB
The full CITB Site Safety Plus range: SMSTS and SSSTS at Hull and Bradford, both refreshers, Health and Safety Awareness, Temporary Works Coordinator and Supervisor, and SEATS. SMSTS, SSSTS and both refreshers also run live online. See all CITB courses.
IOSH qualifications
IOSH Managing Safely runs in classroom at Huddersfield, Hull and Bradford, and as e-learning alongside the Managing Safely Refresher. IOSH Working Safely and Safety for Executives and Directors are both available as e-learning. Browse all IOSH courses.
First aid
Emergency First Aid at Work is GEM's widest-reaching course, running at eight venues — Bradford, Halifax, Huddersfield, Hull, Keighley, Mexborough, Skipton and Manchester. First Aid at Work at three-day level runs at Hull and Bradford. See all first aid courses.
Fire safety
Level 2 Fire Safety (RQF) runs in classroom at Bradford and Hull, suitable for fire marshals and wardens. Browse all fire safety courses.
Which delivery format should I choose?
Classroom suits practical assessment and anything with a hands-on element. Live online instructor-led works well for CITB SMSTS and SSSTS where the content is discussion-based — same certificate, no travel. E-learning suits IOSH Working Safely and Managing Safely where delegates can work at their own pace around shift patterns. Where a course appears in more than one format, the qualification is identical.
Where does GEM actually cover?
The venue spread is unusually wide for a single provider. Hull covers East Yorkshire and the Humber; Bradford, Huddersfield, Halifax and Keighley cover West Yorkshire and the Calder and Aire valleys; Skipton reaches into North Yorkshire and the Dales; Mexborough covers South Yorkshire between Doncaster, Rotherham and Barnsley; and Manchester extends into the North West. For first aid in particular, there is usually a venue within reasonable reach anywhere in Yorkshire.
