IPAF and PASMA Access Training in Glasgow

Highreach Training Services covers the two core access qualifications from Glasgow — IPAF Dual 3a & 3b for powered access operators, and PASMA Towers for Users for mobile access towers. Between them they cover the equipment most commonly used to work at height on Scottish sites, and taking both gives an operative competence across almost any access situation they will meet.

IPAF Dual 3a & 3b
The IPAF Dual 3a and 3b Operator course at Glasgow, covering mobile vertical platforms (scissor lifts) and mobile booms (cherry pickers) together. The dual course is the common booking because most sites have both machine types, and taking the categories together costs less than returning for the second.
PASMA Towers for Users
PASMA Towers for Users, covering safe assembly, alteration, inspection and dismantling of mobile access towers. Towers are frequently assembled by people who have never been trained on them, and incorrect assembly is a recurring cause of collapse. Browse all working at height courses.
MEWP or tower — which is right for the job?
Powered access suits work at greater heights, over obstacles, or where the position changes frequently — a boom reaches over and around things a tower cannot. Towers suit sustained work in one position at moderate height, especially indoors or where a machine cannot get access. Many sites need both, which is why operatives commonly hold both cards.
Covering central Scotland
Glasgow is practical for delegates across Lanarkshire, Renfrewshire, Ayrshire, Dunbartonshire and the central belt, and reachable from Edinburgh, Stirling and Falkirk via the M8 and M80.
