NEBOSH Diplomas, Environmental and Process Safety Qualifications
RRC International is a qualifications specialist carrying the deepest NEBOSH and environmental range on the site — four Level 6 diplomas, including both the National and International Diplomas in Environmental Management that very few providers offer at all. Most qualifications are available three ways: self-paced e-learning, live online, or classroom. The classroom centre is Wimbledon, with the General Certificate also running at Glasgow, Manchester and Newcastle. The catalogue leans towards people building a career in safety or environmental management rather than towards site tickets.
Level 6 Diplomas
Four diplomas, all by e-learning: the
NEBOSH Level 6 National and International Diplomas in Occupational Health and Safety, and the National and International Diplomas in Environmental Management. The occupational health and safety diplomas support Graduate membership of IOSH and the route to Chartered status. The environmental diplomas are genuinely rare — they are for people whose role is environmental management in its own right, not a specialism bolted onto a safety job. Alongside them sits a
ProQual Level 6
NVQ Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Practice, which is the competence-assessed alternative to an examined diploma.
NEBOSH General Certificate — four centres and online
The General Certificate runs in the classroom at Wimbledon, Glasgow, Manchester and Newcastle, plus live online and self-paced e-learning. The International General Certificate covers the same syllabus against international standards rather than UK law, available at Wimbledon, online and by e-learning. If your work is UK-based, take the national version — the international one is for people working where UK legislation does not apply.
Environmental management and sustainability
The NEBOSH
Environmental Management Certificate runs at Wimbledon, online and by e-learning. The
ISEP range covers the Foundation Certificate and the full Certificate in Environmental Management, each available three ways, with Certified Environmental Sustainability Skills at both workforce and manager level. ISEP is the body formerly known as IEMA, rebranded in July 2025 — same qualifications, new name.
ISO 14001 — awareness to internal auditor
A three-step
ISO 14001 route: awareness, implementation, and an IEMA-certified internal auditor course. The internal auditor qualification is the useful one for organisations already certified — the standard requires internal audits, and having someone in-house who can run them properly is considerably cheaper than buying the capability in each cycle.
Process safety and high-hazard industries
The NEBOSH HSE Certificate in Process Safety Management runs at Wimbledon, online and by e-learning, alongside NEBOSH Health, Safety and Environment in the Process Industries. Process safety is a distinct discipline from occupational safety — it concerns loss of containment, major accident hazards and system integrity rather than slips and manual handling. A site can hold an excellent injury record and still have poor process safety, which is exactly what several major disasters have demonstrated.
Construction and fire
NEBOSH Health and Safety Management for Construction runs in a UK version at Wimbledon, online and by e-learning, with an international version by e-learning. The NEBOSH
Fire Certificate is available at Wimbledon, online and by e-learning — a fuller qualification than a fire marshal course, aimed at people carrying out or reviewing fire risk assessments.
NEBOSH HSE short certificates and awards
The certificates NEBOSH developed with the HSE: Health and Safety Leadership Excellence for senior people setting culture, Managing Stress at Work, and the Introduction to Incident Investigation. Alongside them, the Health and Safety at Work Award as a short entry qualification, and Working with Wellbeing. These suit people who need a recognised certificate on a specific topic without committing to a full certificate-level qualification.
IOSH — including social housing
IOSH Managing Safely is available at Wimbledon, online and by e-learning, with Working Safely both online and by e-learning, and Safety for Executives and Directors covering the board-level duty. There is also a Managing Safely in Social Housing version addressing the particular risks of housing management, lone working and entering tenants’ homes — a sector-specific variant that is uncommon elsewhere.
Certificate, diploma or NVQ?
A NEBOSH certificate is the standard qualification for a safety role and takes weeks to months. A Level 6 diploma is a major undertaking — typically a year or more alongside a job — and is what employers expect for senior practitioner roles and chartered membership. The ProQual Level 6 NVQ reaches a comparable level but assesses evidence of what you already do at work rather than examining you, so it suits experienced practitioners without a formal qualification more than it suits people newer to the field. All three are available here; the right one depends on where you are, not just where you are going.
