At Level 3: occupational work supervision, contracting operations, steel erecting, steel fixing, site carpentry, painting and decorating, brick laying, and assessing vocational achievement for people moving into assessor roles. At Level 4:
site supervision, internal quality assurance of assessment, and crane supervisor. Level 5 covers the appointed person for planning lifts. At Level 6:
construction site management, contracting operations management, and a diploma in
occupational health and safety. Level 7 covers
senior site management. The Level 6 site management diploma is the usual route to a CSCS black manager card for people who came up through the trade rather than through a degree.
