Asbestos awareness training is required under Regulation 10 of the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 for anyone whose work could disturb asbestos-containing materials. The course covers the properties of asbestos, its health effects, how to recognise likely locations in a building, and what to do if you suspect you have found it. It does not qualify anyone to work with asbestos.
