This two-day CITB Site Management Safety Training Scheme Refresher (SMSTS-R) course is delivered live online by a qualified instructor, so you get the same CITB Site Safety Plus course and certificate as a classroom delegate without travelling to a training centre.

The course is delivered by Safeteam Training Group, a CITB Approved Training Organisation with its head office in Raunds, Northamptonshire.

Who Is the CITB SMSTS Refresher Course For?

The SMSTS Refresher is for site managers and project managers who already hold an SMSTS certificate and need to renew it. It should be completed before your existing certificate expires; if it has lapsed you will normally need to retake the full five-day course.

Certification

Delegates who pass the course assessment receive a renewed CITB Site Safety Plus SMSTS certificate, valid for a further five years.

How long is the SMSTS Refresher course?

Two days, delivered live online by an instructor.

Can I take the refresher if my SMSTS certificate has expired?

The refresher is intended for current certificate holders, so book it before your certificate expires. If yours has lapsed you will normally need to take the full SMSTS course.

How long is the renewed certificate valid?

Five years from the date you pass the refresher.

Is the online course the same as the classroom version?

Yes. It follows the same CITB course content and leads to the same certificate. The only difference is that the instructor delivers it live over video conferencing.

On successful completion, your certificate is issued by the awarding body, not by the training provider. NRSWA street works: a certificate is issued for each unit passed, and Safeteam applies for your Street Works Qualifications Register (SWQR) card on your behalf. Street works qualifications must be renewed every five years by taking the one-day reassessment before your card expires.
