Our CITB SSSTS Refresher (SSSTS-R) course is a one-day classroom course for site supervisors who hold a current SSSTS certificate and need to renew it before it expires. It updates you on current legislation and best practice without repeating the full two-day course.
Who Should Attend
This course is for delegates who already hold a valid SSSTS certificate. Your existing certificate must not have expired — if it has lapsed, you will need to complete the full two-day SSSTS course instead.

Certification
Successful delegates receive a renewed CITB SSSTS certificate, valid for a further five years.
Delivery Method
Classroom delivery at our training centre: The Acorn Centre, 29 Roebuck Road, Hainault, Essex, IG6 3TU. Course runs 9:00am to 4:30pm. We also offer in-house delivery at your own premises for group bookings.

Frequently Asked Questions
What if my certificate has already expired?
The refresher is only available to delegates with a current certificate. If yours has expired you will need to complete the full two-day SSSTS course.
How early can I take the refresher?
You can take it at any point while your certificate is still valid. Most delegates book within the final six months.
Do I need to bring my existing certificate?
Yes, please bring proof of your current SSSTS certification with you on the day.
How long is the renewed certificate valid?
Five years from the date of successful completion.
For short courses a completion certificate is available at the end of the course. You can screenshot this or print it out to confirm completion of the training.
For accredited courses a certificate will be sent directly to you from the appropriate awarding body.

We deliver the full CITB Site Safety Plus suite, including SMSTS, SSSTS, their refreshers, and Health & Safety Awareness, alongside IOSH Managing Safely, first aid and mental health training. Our trainers come from strong construction and site management backgrounds, and we keep our classrooms engaging rather than relying on slides.
We also offer in-house delivery at your own premises for organisations training several people at once, and we support Health & Safety Awareness delegates with their CSCS card applications.
