C&G Confined Space 6160-09 Medium Risk Entrant & Entry Controller in Ramsey

This unit is for the entry controller/top person who controls entry and arrangements for medium risk confined spaces and works within them. It includes the duties of an entry controller, pre-entry procedures, preparing to work safely, using equipment and tools safely, entry into and exit from the medium risk confined space, maintaining communications, and initiating and following emergency arrangements.

Who will it benefit?

Any person who is appointed by their employer to entry control (top person) enter and work in medium risk confined spaces.

This course will cover:

• Legislation relevant to confined spaces safety.

• Personal protection
  
• Gas detection.
  
• Escape Set Breathing Apparatus
  
• Access equipment.
  
• Prepare for person(s) to enter, control the safe entry and exit, use equipment
  safely, follow procedures, deal with emergencies at medium risk confined spaces.

Core Assessment

Practical exercises: Preparation for a personnel entry, working, exiting and
dealing with an emergency within confined spaces as entry controller and as
entrant.

Additional Information

Delegates should bring their own PPE e.g. Safety Boots, overalls, helmet, gloves, Knee
pads

Certification

Delegates who successfully complete this course of instruction will be awarded a City
& Guilds Certificate
