Confined space — medium risk
City & Guilds 6160-09 Medium Risk Entrant & Entry Controller at all three centres. Medium risk covers most drainage chambers, tanks, pits and culverts where access is restricted or escape breathing apparatus is required. Confined space — high risk
City & Guilds 6160-03 Working in High Risk Confined Spaces at Brentwood. High risk means full working breathing apparatus and a considerably more demanding entry, typically in larger or more hazardous spaces. Comparatively few centres are equipped to deliver it.
Water hygiene
EUSR National Water Hygiene — the blue card — delivered live online. Required for anyone working on assets carrying drinking water, and renewable every three years. Most water utility contracts will not allow site access without it. See all

Medium or high risk — which do I need?
The classification belongs to the space, not the person. It should come from a competent assessment of the specific confined space before anyone enters. Medium risk covers restricted access with escape sets; high risk requires working breathing apparatus. Booking the wrong level means the certificate does not cover the work, so assess the space first.
