Online CPR/AED and First Aid Combo Course
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is one of the most important skills you can learn — because in an emergency, it can mean the difference between life and death. Sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) is a leading cause of death among adults in the United States. When the heart suddenly stops beating, blood flow to the brain and other vital organs also stops.
CPR is a combination of chest compressions and rescue breaths that helps restore blood flow and oxygen until professional help arrives. If started within three to five minutes of collapse, CPR can dramatically improve survival rates and reduce the chance of permanent damage.
This CPR Course is designed to prepare you to act confidently in those critical moments. It follows the most up-to-date 2020 Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) guidelines and includes interim guidance related to COVID-19 to help protect healthcare providers working with suspected or confirmed patients.
