IPAF Harness Awareness & User covers the selection, inspection and correct use of fall protection harnesses when working from a mobile elevating work platform.

This course is delivered in a classroom and practical training area in Coalville, Leicestershire.

What it covers

The Work at Height Regulations and fall protection hierarchy, harness and lanyard types and their applications, correct fitting and adjustment, anchor point selection, pre-use checks, and the principles of rescue planning.

Who it is for

MEWP operators and anyone required to wear a harness when working at height. Often taken alongside IPAF Harness Inspection, which runs on the same dates.

Certification

Successful delegates receive an IPAF certificate.

After completing the course, learners can order their certificate directly from the provider.

To join online courses, delegates have to log in via a link provided through a computer or laptop with a camera, screen, microphone and access to the internet.

Short online courses also help employers to demonstrate that they have fulfilled their legal duties to ensure their personnel have been adequately trained.

Once the courses have been completed, a confirmation of results can be saved or printed as evidence. This can then be kept on record as evidence of suitable training.
