NEBOSH Certificates, CITB Site Safety and Access Training from a Leicestershire Training Centre

OMS has been training since 1998 from its own centre at Coalville in Leicestershire, with additional venues at Bebington on the Wirral and Warrington in Cheshire. What stands out in the catalogue is the NEBOSH depth — General, Fire, Environmental and Construction certificates all running from one centre, which is unusual outside the large national providers — sitting alongside the full CITB Site Safety Plus ladder and a genuinely busy IPAF and PASMA schedule. The Coalville centre has an indoor practical area, so the access and ladder training runs whatever the weather.

NEBOSH — four certificates from one centre
The National General Certificate runs at Coalville, at Warrington and live online. The Certificate in Fire Safety, Environmental Management Certificate and Health and Safety Management for Construction all run at Coalville. CITB Site Safety Plus — the full ladder
Health and Safety Awareness runs roughly fortnightly at Coalville. SSSTS and SMSTS both run at Coalville and Warrington, with SMSTS also at Bebington, and both refreshers at Coalville. IPAF powered access — near-daily dates
IPAF Dual 3a & 3b Operator runs at Coalville most weekdays and periodically at Warrington — one of the busiest single-centre IPAF schedules on this site. Harness Awareness & User and Harness Inspection are scheduled on the same dates as each other at Coalville, so both can be taken in a single visit. Browse all IPAF courses.
PASMA and Ladder Association
PASMA Towers for Users runs monthly at Coalville, with the Combined Low-Level Access and Towers course adding podium steps and folding platforms. On the Ladder Association side OMS runs all three routes — for Users, Inspection, and the Combined User & Inspection full day — which is a fuller set than most centres carry. All are working at height qualifications, and all run in the indoor practical area.
IOSH across all three centres

Quarry passports, asbestos and PAT testing
Coalville sits in Leicestershire quarrying country, which is why the SPA Passport — Mineral Products (MPQC) is a monthly fixture here rather than an occasional booking. The renewal is scheduled the following day each month, so new starters and existing cardholders can be sorted in one trip. UKATA Asbestos Awareness and PAT Testing also run at Coalville.
The OMS live virtual classroom
OMS runs its own virtual classroom system rather than a generic video call — tutor-led in real time, with printed delegate workbooks couriered out beforehand and assessments taken online. NEBOSH General, IOSH Managing Safely and IOSH Working Safely are all available this way, with the same syllabus and the same certificate as the classroom versions. ELCAS approved and CITB Levy eligible
OMS is an ELCAS-approved provider, so service leavers can put Enhanced Learning Credits towards qualifying courses as part of their resettlement package. Several OMS courses are also CITB Levy eligible, meaning levy-registered employers may be able to claim grant against the cost. Grant rates are set by the CITB and reviewed annually, so confirm current figures before budgeting.
Which centre covers me?
Coalville carries almost the whole catalogue and sits just off the M1 in north-west Leicestershire, within reach of Leicester, Derby, Nottingham and Birmingham. It has an indoor practical training area, modern classrooms and free parking. Warrington covers Cheshire, south Manchester and the north Midlands, running SMSTS, SSSTS, NEBOSH General, IOSH Managing Safely and IPAF. Bebington serves the Wirral and Merseyside with SMSTS and IOSH Managing Safely. The range differs by venue, so check the course you want runs at the centre nearest you before travelling.
