Asbestos Awareness in Coalville, Leicestershire (Classroom)

Asbestos Awareness training gives workers the knowledge to recognise asbestos-containing materials and avoid disturbing them, as required under the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012.

This course is delivered in a classroom in Coalville, Leicestershire.

What it covers

The properties of asbestos and its health effects, the types and uses of asbestos-containing materials and where they are found, the duty to manage and the asbestos register, avoiding the risk of disturbance, and what to do if asbestos is discovered or accidentally disturbed.

Who it is for

Anyone whose work could foreseeably disturb the fabric of a building — maintenance staff, electricians, plumbers, joiners, demolition workers and their supervisors. It is awareness training and does not qualify anyone to work with asbestos.

Certification

Successful delegates receive a certificate. Refresher training is recommended annually.

For short courses a completion certificate is available at the end of the course. You can screenshot this or print it out to confirm completion of the training.

For accredited courses a certificate will be sent directly to you from the appropriate awarding body.

All you need to complete our e-learning courses is a computer, tablet or smartphone and an internet connection.
