CITB SMSTS Course in Bebington, Merseyside (Classroom)

The CITB Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) is the five-day certificate for site managers, agents and anyone taking on management responsibility on a UK construction site.

This course is delivered in a classroom in Bebington, Merseyside.

What it covers

Health and safety law and the CDM Regulations, risk assessments and method statements, high-risk activities including work at height, excavations, confined spaces and plant movements, occupational health, site leadership and inductions, and monitoring and incident investigation.

Attendance

Full attendance across all five days is required. Missing part of a day means the certificate cannot be issued, so check the schedule against site commitments before booking.

Certification

The CITB SMSTS certificate is valid for five years. Renewal is the two-day SMSTS Refresher, which must be completed before the expiry date — once it lapses, the full five-day course must be retaken.

For short courses a completion certificate is available at the end of the course. You can screenshot this or print it out to confirm completion of the training.

For accredited courses a certificate will be sent directly to you from the appropriate awarding body.

All you need to complete our e-learning courses is a computer, tablet or smartphone and an internet connection.

Once the courses have been completed, a confirmation of results can be saved or printed as evidence. This can then be kept on record as evidence of suitable training.

Step 2

Once you have paid for your course(s), you will receive an email from our team advising how to begin your training.

You will be provided with a username and password which will enable you to access the e-learning portal. Login to start your course, once you have completed and passed the course, you will be able to download and print your certificate straight away.
