Entry Requirements
Prior experience in construction and supervisory responsibilities.
- Occupational competence to at least Level 2 in construction or equivalent.
- Evidence can include previous qualifications or an employer confirmation letter.
- No minimum time-in-role requirement.
- An initial skills assessment will be carried out to identify any gaps.
How is it assessed?
Work-based assessment – no classroom exams.
- You will build a portfolio of evidence through real work activities.
- Evidence types include:
- Assessor observations (usually via live or pre-recorded video evidence rather than in-person)
- Professional discussions
- Work products
- Witness testimonies

Course Structure
To achieve the qualification, you must complete:
Mandatory Units (all six):
- Confirming work activities and resources for an occupational work area
- Developing and maintaining good occupational working relationships
- Confirming the occupational method of work
- Implementing and maintaining health, safety, environmental and welfare practices
- Coordinating and organising work operations
- Monitoring progress of work against schedules
Optional Units (choose at least two); examples include:
- Allocating and monitoring the use of plant, machinery, equipment or vehicles
- Confirming work meets contractual, industry and manufacturers’ standards
